  3. If the house is setting on ground that has a tendency to shift a bit, the
crack will continue to appear.....I have tried 3 times to fix a stress
crack at a house with tape, mud but it still cracked over time. I am a
journeyman painter also...so if i am missing something, let me know....I
find if the drywall is running vertical with the door frame or window
frame, you usually will have stress cracks in those area's.....

  4. As a shortcut I bought some of this stuff yesterday and "repaired" 2 cracks
coming off of the corner of a couple windows. The small crack turned out
acceptable (not sure how long it will last), and the other is horrible. The
product curled up. Today I will have to scrape off the paint, texture,
tape, and do it right. Actually it doesn't take too much longer to fix the
crack the "old-fashioned way". There is just a lot of extra waiting for the
    mud to dry.

  7. haha i still see the tape guy even after you spray texture over it haha
texture cant even hide the tape because tape is thicker than the wall ..wow
what a new idea get tape and tape over the problem and paint kinda like
mechanic in a bottle for your wall .. i like the idea of someone looking at
my wall and asking why i was so stupid to put tape on my wall and paint
over it so my opinion this product is stupid and a complete waste of money

  11. Remember, a good job is not so much the tool, but the skill of the person

  19. Does it matter what color the stress tape is? In one video they tell you to
use blue mesh tape; presently I have a roll of yellow.

  22. Stress Crack Tape works well on plaster ceilings and walls. The key is to
press firmly outside of the damaged area. Plus it will span the gap of
larger cracks as well without any problems. Nice to see products still
    being made in the USA.
