  2. good video. however, the same result can be accomplished much cheaper using
a sponge to apply the mud, and a basic 8" mud knife. Yea, it takes more
time but you will save a ton of money in the process.

  4. Adam, thanks for the detailed video. At 5:56 you say to "screw on the half
inch nozzle that came with the spray gun". I presume you're talking about
the diameter of the threaded hole, not the diameter of the spray opening
which appears much smaller. My gun came with several sizes from about 1/8
up to 5/16. Which should I use?

  7. Hi, Adam! Thanks for this video. We have appreciated the knowledge you
share and how you walked us through this process. Wondering if you would
or would not recommend mixing some primer with mud? Why or why not? Thank
    you!

  8. Very complete! Thanks so much for the detailed explanation! We scrapped
off the acoustic/popcorn ceiling, and we now need to re-texture the
ceiling. We have knock-down on our walls, and we're now ready to apply it
on the ceiling thanks to your video :).

  11. Great video! I'm in the process of buying an older foreclosure home. I'm 22
years old and I'm really excited. The ceilings have popcorn texture, so I
wanted to remove it, and re-texture it and the walls with knockdown. Thanks
for taking the time to make and upload this video. I do computer stuff, so
videos like this gives me confidence I can do this job without paying
    someone. Thanks again!

  13. Okay please don't apply this 'texture' to walls or ceilings.
It will be someone else's nightmare when they want them gone.
    S M O O T H is what walls should be.
    Skip the 25 steps.
Stop teaching people this technique --- horrible job to remove.
    Stick with paint or wallpaper.
    We thank you.

  14. I would not clean your tools in the house as it could plug the drains, if
you do use PLENTY of water and let the water run several minutes after you
    are done

  15. Thank you for taking the time to explain what is done and WHY it is
done...ie.. a WET rag wipedown for a smooth gliding trowel. Alot of other
videos have no explanations so I saw some wipedowns and although I could
figure out why, they did not appear to be wet rags or have explanations.
Also, I liked how you gave a nozzle size recommendation.

Totally learned alot from your video.
