Yes, very doable. Not overcomplicating the process, but pointing out the things to look for in how to get this effect. My son is 15 and he's going to give it a try in the room that was his older brothers, is now going to be my office. Thanks for posting this video!! And thanks for the recommendation of "eggshell" paint finish to pick up the texture better. Thanks very much for making the video and posting it, sir.
I want to add a door to my master toilet area. I can do the framing drywall and door install, but was wondering if you could do the matching texture tape and bedding?
As the level of self-promotion increases, one should be weary. Craftsmanship will most likely be sub-par, as evidenced in those photos. This inverse correlation is typical in some contractors.
Wow...no offense my man but this is why I hate going to do patch work on a wall like yours. That's a 10" Drywall Blade and you can't trowel with that. This is why they have invented a Hawk and Trowel way before your dirty bread pan in your left and your 10 in your right. Skip Trowel done the right way is a beautiful thing. Try a circular eight method...with 3 spongues of water in your 5 gallon bucket of who knows what you use.
It gives it that Tuscan look. With a nice color of paint, pretty good! I think it depends on what part of the country you're from on wether or not this would be aesthetically appealing or not. Many homes in the west and Florida has this type of texturing.
thanks for the excellent video.i have a 100 yr old home and a very old celatex ceiling should i prime first then apply the joint compound? it has as far as i can tell never been painted.
